There are three main types of rubber processing oils: aromatic base oil, naphthenic base oil and paraffinic base oil. Each kind of oil is mainly made up of ring structure. Typical oil molecules include unsaturated rings (Fang Xiangji), saturated rings (naphthenic bases) and saturated paraffins (Paraffin bases). 

Aromatic ring structure is dominant in aromatic base oils. In the naphthenic base oil, the saturated ring without double bonds is dominant. In paraffin base oil in saturated hydrocarbon is still dominant, but fewer hydrocarbon paraffin oil, alkanes and the number of side chain linked to the ring is more than alkyl ring. Here, the use of paraffinic base oils to describe refined oils containing more side chains may be a false call, because paraffin base refers only to the paraffin components in an oil. Paraffin oil rubber is actually good, need to go through another dewaxing process to remove wax, wax oil because is negative in most of the cases of rubber product properties and appearance, paraffin oil content is too high to make rubber products (white spray cream) or injection products caused by the appearance of the rainbow the phenomenon, FA or appearance of purple or blue pattern. 

A good rubber paraffin oil, in addition to a small amount of heterocyclic compounds, should be free of or containing no asphaltene. Because of poor compatibility of asphalt and rubber, it is harmful to rubber products. 

For any kind of oil, it is impossible to completely determine its composition. In fact, despite the untiring efforts of scientists, only a few molecular types have been isolated and identified in oil products. The same is true for rubber paraffin oil, so it is impossible to express the product completely and completely. Can only say that the rubber with paraffin oil is composed of straight chain and branched chain alkane molecules, due to the saturation its structure is relatively stable, so the application in EPDM (three yuan), NR (natural rubber), IIR (Ding Ji rubber) and saturated rubber, the heat resistance and compression deformation than other alkyl aromatic ring and better.
